Liberty provides for Town-wide solid waste/garbage pickup via contract services once a week on Tuesdays. The Town also offers a curbside pickup of white goods, everything from carpet remnants to freezers, on Tuesdays or Wednesday.

• Blue trash containers are to be placed at curb for pickup every Tuesday or Wednesday depending on the sticker on your can.
  • Place trash cans at curb the night before or the morning of scheduled pickup.
• Any overflow trash that will not fit into the blue container should be left on top of the "open" container, not on the ground beside the container.
• Large items, and metal items for disposal, should be left at the curb outside of container for separate pickup.
• *Blue trash containers should be removed from the curb after it is emptied.
• Don't forget: Batteries, paints, or volatile liquids, and tires, should be taken to the recycle center, not deposited in the blue container.

Apart from brown and white goods, the Town may collect limited additional materials that do not fit within a blue trash container upon approval from the Public Works Director; however, such collections are provided at the Town's discretion and are subject to available staffing, equipment, funding, and operational priorities. In accordance with Section 91.13(B) of the Town Code, the Town reserves the right to refuse any request for special collection services. At this time, the Town is not providing routine collection of overflow household waste placed outside of residential that are not brown or white goods.

• Please bear in mind that excessive discard such as a tenant move-out, or a major load in excess of a "small" pickup truck load requires an additional charge of approximately $120 to $160 depending on the size and quantity.
• Upon approval from the Public Works Director, the additional rubbish will not be removed until this fee is paid at the billing office. We must do this in order to keep your Monthly Trash Fee at the lowest possible cost. We very much appreciate your cooperation.

If the discard exceeds two large items or a pile of smaller items, you must recieve approval from the Public Works Director and pay the additional charge.
