North Carolina bans on placing a wide range of materials went into effect October 1 2009
Randolph County Recycling Center
(428 W. Brower Ave. in Liberty) will accept:
- Plastic bottles
- Glass jars
- Aluminum cans
- Papers
- Magazines
- Flattened cardboard
- Phone books
- Oil filters
- Motor oil
- Tires
Solid Waste Facility accepts more than 5 tires with properly executed NC Scrap Tire Certification

Liberty Convenience Site
Newspapers, magazines, plastics, paper, aluminum cans, tires, car batteries, used motor oil, filters, and antifreeze can be taken to the recycling at 428 West Brower Avenue.
- The Liberty Convenience Site is "Open For Business" and operated by Randolph County.
- Hours: 8 am and 4:30 pm, Monday, Thursday, and Friday, and Saturday from 8 am to 3 pm.
- There will always be a Technician on duty to assist you.
